Prof. Daniele Perissin of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science received the Dragon Programme award from the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST) for his contribution to the success of their cooperation programme on space remote sensing.

The Fok Ying Tung Remote Sensing Science Building was officially opened in September in the presence of Dr. C.H. Tung, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of the NCCPC and representatives of the Fok Ying Tung Foundation.
