Shaw College celebrated its silver anniversary with a dinner attended by some 400 members of the College and their guests. At the dinner, guests were entertained by the great and the good, including stand-up comics from the Vice-Chancellor.

To commemorate the centenary of the 1911 revolution which brought an end to the Qing Dynasty, part of the Shaw College student hostel was named the Yat-sen Hall through a generous donation from Dr. Ho Hau-wong and Dr. Lam Kin-chung in January.

Christmas Dinner 2010 organized by the staff associations of the University.

Prof. David Julius, 2010 Shaw Laureate in Life Science and Medicine, spoke on human sensitivity to pain and natural products as probes of the pain pathway.

Mr. Philip Chen, former Deputy Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways, was on campus in April 2010 to share with staff and students in the BBA programme his insightful observations on CX marketing strategies and related issues in a session in the 'Heart to Heart' series involving policy-makers in high commerce.
