An Orientation Experience Like No Other
Chung Chi freshmen at the University Mall

The year 2011 marked the 60th anniversary of Chung Chi College. An array of celebratory events has been organized, including the Chung Chi College 60th Anniversary Celebration Concert held on 31 October.

Dr. Chan Chak-lui Sam, instructor, Department of Cultural and Religious Studies, plays a female sheng (male protagonist) at the Chung Chi College 60th Anniversary celebration music event, The Purple Hairpin.

Retracing the Footsteps of Pai Hsien-yung on CUHK Campus<br><br>Prof. Pai Hsien-yung Kenneth, invited by Chung Chi College to serve as Siu Lien Ling Wong Visiting Fellow 2010–11 and met with staff and students on different occasions.

A fun run marking the 60th anniversary of Chung Chi College and the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine took place in January 2011. Over 600 runners participated.

It is a time-honoured tradition at Chung Chi that the College anniversary festivities should be concluded with a singing contest, but it is rare that the singing features the Vice-Chancellor! This happened in October when the stage was graced by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and the College Head.

O clap your hands, all ye people
